Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s trading session on a positive note, supported by the buying activity of foreign investors.
The main index EGX30 rose 0.87% and closed at the level of 15,806.38 points.
Marker cap rose by EGP 3.1 billion and reached a total of EGP 880.3 billion.
Meanwhile, the small and medium sized enterprise index EGX70 levelled up 0.04% and closed at the level of 784.07 points, while the broader index EGX100 gained 0.24% and ended the session at 1,942.46 points.
On the other hand, the equal-weighted index EGX50 slipped 0.06%, as it closed at 2,599.78 points.
Traded volumes amounted to 168.7 million shares, while turnovers reached EGP 1.45 billion, through a total 21,900 transactions.
Foreign and Arab investors were inclined towards buying with net EGP 230 million and EGP 712.4 million, respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers at EGP 942.4 million.
