Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange opened Thursday on a stronger note as EGX30 broke the barrier of 7,500 points.
At 10:25am Cairo time, the benchmark rose 0.52% to 7,534 points. Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 opened up 1.15% to 1,391 points. The small and mid-cap EGX70 edged up 0.45% to 366.8 points. And the broader index EGX100 increased 0.46% to 793 points.
With 90 million shares changing hands in 5,000 transactions, the bourse registered a trading value of EGP131 million.
National and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP1.4 million and EGP1.3 million respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers by EGP2.7 million.
