Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note with the main EGX30 index being the sole decliner after falling by 0.75% to 10,742 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 1.47% to 1,361 points, while the broader EGX100 EWI rose by 1% to 2,125 points.
Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index increased by 0.36% to close at 1,649 points.
The market cap value gained EGP 102.6 million to EGP 579.5 billion.
Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 95 million and EGP 37.5 million, respectively, while local investors were net buyers with EGP 133.6 million.
The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.1 billion after 385.15 million shares were exchanged through nearly 40,300 transactions.
