Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session in a rise, showing a positive start to this week’s trade, supported by the buying activity of Arab and foreign investors.
The benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.84%, gaining 119.52 points, and closing at the level of 14,414.25 points.
EGX70 rose 1.28% to 777.35 points, while the broader index EGX100 increased by 1.26% to the level of 1,833.59 points.
The equal-weighted index rose by 1.32%, closing at 2,519 points.
The market capital closed the session at EGP 795.7 billion, gaining EGP 6.99 billion.
Traded volumes amounted to 196.24 million shares, while values reached EGP 736.7 million, with around 21,390 transactions.
Egyptian investors were inclined towards selling with a net EGP 481.8 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at EGP 121.9 million, and EGP 359.9 million, respectively.
