Dubai-Mubasher: The US’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) added Chad, Kazakhstan, Oman and the UAE to its assessment of technically recoverable shale resources all over the world.
EIA’s new decision resulted in a 13% increase in the global assessed total resource estimate for shale oil and a 4% increase for shale gas.
In 2005-2015, the UAE raise its oil production by 21% to 3.7 million barrels per day and natural gas by 18% to 5.6 billion cubic feet.
Oman increased its oil production by 18% to 943,000 barrels per day and natural gas by 32% to 2.8 billion cubic feet during the same period.
The report showed that a total of 26 formations within 11 basins were analyzed in the four countries.
