Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) announced that it has launched cardless cash withdrawal through its mobile banking application.
The Dubai-based bank noted that its customers can initiate the cash withdrawal from the bank’s mobile banking app, according to the bank’s recent statement.
Accordingly, funds can then be withdrawn from any ATM of the bank’s branches in all seven emirates without using a debit or credit card.
“Cardless cash withdrawal provides a seamless banking experience for our customers, merging the convenience of our mobile banking app with the accessibility of our wide ATM network," Wasim Saifi Deputy CEO of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management at EIB, said.
The new service allows customers to make transfers to recipients using only their mobile phone number.
Customers will receive an SMS with a one-time PIN to withdraw the amount transferred from the closest Emirates Islamic ATM.
“Using this service, our customers can transfer cash instantly to anyone including individuals who may not have an account with us, who can then withdraw the cash without a credit or debit card from any Emirates Islamic ATM. We are confident that this service will bring increased convenience to our customers,” Saifi added.
