EK Holding profits hike 190% in Q3

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Kuwait Holding (EK) reported a 190% surge in net profits for the third quarter of 2016.

The company's profits reached $15.3 million for Q3-2016, up from $5.27 million for the same period of the previous year, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.

The consolidated net profits increased 45% to $57.55 million in the first nine months of 2016 from $39.73 million in the year-ago period.

The standalone profits also grew 53% to $19.73 million in the nine-month period of the year from $12.91 million in the prior-year period.

Egypt Kuwait Holding's stock rose 2.04% to $0.5 by 11:17am on Wednesday's trading.
