Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) on Wednesday reported a 13.4% year-on-year increase in consolidated profits for the first quarter of 2018, recording $25.37 million from $22.3 million.
Revenues surged to $112.87 million in the three-month period ended last March, versus $96.66 million in Q1-17, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Meanwhile, standalone profits plummeted to $2.8 million in Q1-18 from $10.05 million in the prior-year period.
EKH, listed on the EGX and Boursa Kuwait, had previously posted a 92.7% hike in profits for the full-year 2017, recording $138.18 million from $71.7 million in 2016.
