EKH mulls EGP 250-300m investments in Borg Al Arab power plant

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) is currently considering to invest EGP 250 million to EGP 300 million to boost Borg El Arab power plant’s generation capacity.

This step will allow the company to raise the plant's generation capacity to 100 megawatts (MW) from 70 MWs now, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday.

Burg Al Arab power plant is owned by National Energy Company, a subsidiary of Egypt Kuwait Holding.

Egypt Kuwait Holding had previously posted a 92.7% year-on-year hike in profits during the full-year 2017, registering $138.18 million, up from $71.7 million a year earlier.
