EKH sees $75m profit in 9M

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) on Thursday posted consolidated profits of $75 million for the first nine months of 2018, versus $76.5 million in the year-ago period.

Revenue grew to $338.9 million at the end of September from $258.18 million in the corresponding nine months of 2017, EKH said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

As for standalone profits, the company generated $21.7 million in profits for the nine-month period ended September, versus $21.8 million in the prior-year period.

EKH, listed on the EGX and Boursa Kuwait, previously reported a 29.4% year-on-year rise in consolidated profits for the first half of 2018, recording $63.3 million from $48.9 million.

The company’s standalone profits totalled $15.8 million in profits for the six-month period ended June, slightly up from $15.3 million in H1-17.
