ENOC, Rotary Engineering ink deal for Jebel Ali refinery

Dubai – Decypha: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has signed an agreement with Rotary Engineering of Fujairah to build the 12 storage tanks, to help expand the capacity of Jebel Ali refinery by 50%, according to an April 10th ENOC statement.

The deal is part of a larger $1 billion expansion project that comprises of three separate packages.

Slated for commercial operation in Q4 2019, the refinery’s storage tanks will be ready for storing jet fuel, LNG, naphtha and fuel products.

Jebel Ali’s refinery is planned to have the capacity to produce 210,000 barrels per day, up from the current level of 140,000 barrels per day.

The second package of the project includes building a warehouse spaced 31,000 square foot.

ENOC has awarded engineering, procurement and construction package of Jebel Ali’s processing and ancillary units to Italy’s TechnipFMC.

The refinery has started working in 1999 with two condensate distillation units at the capacity of 60,000 barrels per day, and four MEROX units at the capacity of 1.28 million cubic metres.
