ENOC Group sells 249m barrels in 2017

Dubai – Mubasher: ENOC Group announced that it had sold 249 million barrels in 2017, which reflects the group’s successful expansion plans.

ENOC’s fuel sales surged in the last year, as transactions carried out at its retail outlets soared to over 120 million in the last four quarters, compared to about 90 million in 2016, according to a company statement released on Sunday.

“The UAE is an integral player in the global energy landscape and is at the forefront of driving energy security and efficiency through diversification and sustainable development initiatives,” ENOC’s Group CEO Saif Humaid Al Falasi commented.

In 2017, ENOC recorded 50% growth in refined oil supply on the back of its $1 billion refinery expansion project.

“We continue to invest in long-term critical infrastructure projects that [fulfill] Dubai and the UAE’s energy needs. Projects like the expansion of the refinery and the jet-fuel pipelines are crucial to [respond] to the transformational growth the UAE is witnessing,” Al Falasi said.
