Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: ENOC Group has inked an agreement with Rotary Engineering Fujairah to construct twelve new storage tanks, according to a statement.
The project is part of the company’s plans to expand the capacity of its Jebel Ali refinery by 50%.
This comes after the announcement of the enginnering, procurement, and construction contractor in September 2016 for the design and construction of new processing units and ancillary units.
The expansion project comprises three separate packages worth $1 billion, with expectations to start commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2019.
“The production capacity of our Jebel Ali refinery is 140,000 barrels per day helping to meet the requirements of local, regional, and international markets. With expansion, we hope to achieve an increased capacity of 210,000 barrels per day,” according to the company’s CEO Humaid Al Falasi.
