Sharm El Sheikh – Mubasher: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Monday announced that the next edition of the European Union (EU) – League of Arab State (LAS) Summit will be held Brussels, Belgium, in 2022.
This came on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the two-day EU-LAS Summit 2019 being held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Over the past two days, heads of European and Arab states have been in talks over key strategic topics such as strengthening European-Arab ties, reinforcing collaboration between the two sides, and confronting common regional and international challenges, El-Sisi added in his closing speech.
Headed by El-Sisi and European Council President Donald Tusk, the EU-LAS Summit kicked off on Sunday, 24 February, bringing together heads of states and governments from both sides for the first time.
