Mubasher: The European Union (EU) - League of Arab States (LAS) summit will be held on Sunday, 24 February in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, for two days.
Headed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and European Council President Donald Tusk, the EU-LAS Summit will bring together heads of states and governments from both sides for the first time.

Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will be representing the European Union (EU) during the summit.
The summit aims at strengthening Arab-European ties and focusing on a number of common challenges, including multilateralism, trade and investment, migration, security, the situation in the region, state-run news agency MENA reported.
Moreover, Federica Mogherini, the EU high representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and vice-president of the Commission, will also attend the summit.
Almost 49 countries will participate in the EU-LAS Summit, including 21 Arab states and 28 European countries.
