Cairo – Mubasher: The European Union (EU) will focus its allocations to Egypt amounting to EUR 500 million on major sectors in the next four years, Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, citing Egypt’s prime minister, Mostafa Madbouly, as saying.
Key sectors include transportation, infrastructure, renewable energy, small enterprises, and social security, according to a speech delivered by investment minister Sahar Nasr on behalf of Madbouly during 'MEDAFinance' 2019 conference.
The private sector contributes 60% to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and 80% of capital inflows, and creates 90% of jobs in the Euro-Mediterranean region, the secretary general of the Union for the Mediterranean, Nasser Kamel, said.
