EU funds six development projects in Egypt

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has received EUR 18 million funds for six development projects from the European Union under multilateral cross-border cooperation Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme.

The new projects include the cooperation between Mediterranean countries in the textile and tourism sectors, in addition to the small and the medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), renewable energy, and job creation, Egypt’s investment minister Sahar Nasar.

The new projects will also link the industrial and services sectors to universities and research centres, the minister added.

Nasar stated that these projects will be executed by the Chamber of Commerce, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, along with partners from Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Cyprus, Lebanon, Jordan, and Tunisia.
