Mubasher: Producer Price Index monthly fell by 0.8% during last December, 2% worse than expected, while slipped 0.2% a month earlier, Eurostat office mentioned in a statement issued on Tuesday.
On an annual basis, the index dropped by 3% at December, 0.2% higher than estimates, while fell 3.2% by the earlier month.
EU inflation still does not meet the figures desired by European Central Bank which wants to have the inflation rate near 2.00%, suggesting that the bank will not backtrack on its cash and financial policies.
