Dubai – Mubasher: Eagle Hills Sharjah has awarded East Coast Contracting and Trading Company a $43 million (AED 160 million) contract to conduct works on Eagle Hills Sharjah’s Kalba Waterfront mall.
The contract includes the construction of the 17,000 square metres Kalba Waterfront project, which will comprise shops and restaurants – along with a supermarket chain and indoor dining areas, according to a company statement.
"We are delighted to start the work on Kalba Waterfront with the support of East Coast Contracting and Trading, a company that shares our meticulous approach to timely and high-quality project delivery,” Eagle Hills Sharjah’s CEO Low Ping commented.
Slated for inauguration in the third quarter of 2019, Kalba Waterfront will incorporate 11,200 square metres gross leasing area and a car park with a capacity of 300 vehicles.
“In line with our mission to drive economic growth across the UAE and particularly in the Northern Emirates, we identified a need in Sharjah’s retail market for a modern facility that would provide entertainment, restaurants, and fashion all under one roof, Ping said.
Eagle Hills Sharjah is a joint venture (JV) between Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and Eagle Hills.
