Cairo – Mubasher: Eastern Company (Eastern Tobacco) posted on Sunday a rise of 4.8% in its profits for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2016-2017 to EGP 463.1 million, versus EGP 441.7 million for Q2-15/16.
In the first half of fiscal 2016/17 reached EGP 890.35 million, 10% up from EGP 809.15 million for the same period of the previous year.
Revenues increased in the first half of fiscal 2016/17 by 29.17% to EGP 2.008 billion from EGP 3.8 billion for the same period last year, according to a bourse statement.
The stock closed Thursday’s session rising by 9.15% to EGP 182.44.
