Cairo - Mubasher: The chairman of Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said that the Suez Canal Economic Zone will be a regional center for logistics and oil products trade in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, after the completion of Sonker Station in Sokhna Port.
Mamish added in a statement on Saturday that the agreement to finance the project has been activated with foreign investments of $500 million.
He also pointed to all the parties involved in the agreement, including the ministries of petroleum and investment, DP World Sokhna, and the Suez Canal Economic Zone, adding that a new 40-kilometer pipeline will be established to connect the project with the storage capacities.
