Cairo – Mubasher: Edita Food Industries has upgraded its invoicing infrastructure and is currently operating in full compliance with the electronic invoicing regulations which came into effect on 15 May.
Over the last months, the food producer has worked with the Egyptian Tax Authority and other local and international companies to complete the necessary adjustments in order to comply with the newly introduced regulations, Edita said in a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.
As one of the first companies to complete the transition, Edita expects the new electronic invoicing system to "generate significant advantages for the company."
In the first half (H1) of 2021, Edita Food Industries reported net profits of EGP 196.91 million, up from EGP 93.78 million in H1-20, including minority shareholders' rights.
