Egypt, China ink $739m MoU for electric train - Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of investment and international cooperation Sahar Nasr on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chinese trade minister to fund the electric train project in Egypt with $739 million.

The train will link 10th of Ramadan City with the New Administrative Capital, Nasr said to the media representatives that accompanied President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during his visit to China.

An economic and technical collaboration agreement has been signed between both parties to grant Egypt $45 million, in order to implement the Egyptian satellite project Sat-2, Nasr added.

Egypt and China will sign three cooperation agreements worth $11.2 billion of Chinese investments in the New Administrative Capital, according to Egypt Independent.
