Egypt, Cyprus, Greece activate electricity interconnection MoU

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece have activated the signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the electricity link-up project with preliminary investments valued at $4 billion, according to Alborsa News.  

The Egyptian electricity ministry is currently working on evaluating applicable environmental systems and regulations, while economic studies of the project are still being conducted, the newspaper added.

Last August, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was in talks with his Cypriot counterpart over the importance of reinforcing mutual cooperation between the three countries.
