Egypt, Germany ink EUR204m agreements

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of investment and international cooperation signed on Monday three agreements with the German minister of development and economic cooperation, according to a press release.

The agreements’ total value stand at EUR 203.5 million, in the fields of renewable energy, education, as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Sahar Nasr said that the agreements include carrying out four projects with high priority with investments of EUR 141.5 million.

The deals were signed on the sidelines of the Egyptian president, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, visit to Germany to attend the G20 summit.

Trade exchange between the two countries reached EUR 5.56 billion ($5.89 billion) in 2016, increasing by 10% compared to 2015.
