Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of investment and international cooperation Sahar Nasr has signed a cooperation protocol with the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) office director in Egypt regarding the Egyptian youth employment.
This came on the sidelines of “Roadmap for Youth Employment in North Africa” conference in Geneva, in presence of the ILO’s director-general Guy Ryder.
This protocol aims at providing million job opportunity over the next three years, especially in the most needy governorates, as well as enhancing youth’s technical skills, and encouraging small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), Nasr said.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi gives youth the priority, Nasr added in a statement on Thursday, pointing out that the Sharm el-Sheikh National Youth Conference will be held in November.
The minister noted that the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation had launched “Fekretak Sherketak” initiative as part of the Egypt Entrepreneurship program (EEP) to bolster start-up companies in partnership with the United Nations Development Program and EFG Hermes.
