Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of electricity, Mohamed Shaker, has met with representatives of Italian energy companies, to discuss mutual cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by the Italian ambassador to Cairo, Giampaolo Cantini, according to the ministry’s statement issued on Tuesday.
Shaker noted that the meeting aims at opening new communication channels with the Italian investors, as there are an increasing opportunities for investments, especially in the New Egyptian Administrative Capital.
Meanwhile, ambassador Cantini stressed his country’s readiness to invest in Egypt’s growing renewable energy sector, especially wind and solar projects.
