Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt and Morocco have been considering new means to reinforce cooperation and exchange knowledge in the field of mineral resources.
This came on the sidelines of the Arab energy conference currently being held in Marrakesh, according to a statement by the Egyptian petroleum ministry.
During his meeting with the Moroccan energy minister Aziz Rabbah, the Egyptian petroleum minister said that they discussed projects being executed by the two countries to develop the mining sector and boost its contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP).
The Egyptian ministry is on track to implement its ambitious project to prepare for a new strategy to develop the mining sector and attract investments to this vital sector, Tarek El-Molla added.
El-Molla invited his Moroccan counterpart to attend the 15th edition of the Arab Mining conference, which will be held in Cairo next month.
For his part, Aziz Rabbah accepted the invitation, indicating that it will be an opportunity for having further discussions on the mining field with Egypt.
