Egypt, Russia ink $47.5m export deals

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Trade Tarek Kabil said Sunday that Egypt signed a number of export agreements with Russian worth $47.5 million (EGP 891 million) over the past five months.

Egypt will accordingly export to Russia agricultural crops and food commodities at $45 million and $2.5 million, the minister added in a statement, clarifying that negotiations are underway to register Egyptian seafood companies in Russia for more export opportunities.

In the short term, the ministry will offer more than 44 opportunities for exporters at $60 million in different fields, including food, agriculture, cotton garments, and home furnishings, the minister concluded.
