Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt and Saudi Arabia will cooperate in the field of peaceful use of nuclear power, according to a presidential decree published in the official gazette on Thursday.
This agreement will carry out the development of the Egyptian-Saudi cooperation in this field, including nuclear security, nuclear buildings' safety, in addition to the exchange of information regarding this matter.
In November 2015, Russia and Egypt had signed an agreement for constructing and operating the first nuclear plant in Egypt of Russian technology at a total cost of $26 billion.
In September 2017, Saudi Arabia was still working on feasibility studies prior to making any decision over how and where to build its first nuclear plant, according to Reuters.
