Egypt, Siemens ink deal to build EGP 143m substation

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) signed a contract with Siemens Technologies to set up the Bashayer El-Kheir III and V substation. 

The EGP 143 million deal includes establishing a substation to be financed from the company’s resources under the budget allocated for projects in Alexandria and West Delta in fiscal year 2020/2021, EETC’s chairman Sabah Mashaly said in a statement on Tuesday.

The 66/11 kilovolt (kv) gas insulated switchgear (GSI) substation will be implemented on a turnkey basis over a period of 12 months from the date of signing the deal.
