Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt and Sudan have agreed not to escalate the border dispute over the Halayeb and Shalateen area, Sudan Tribune reported, citing Sudanese foreign minister Ibrahim Ghandour.
Both countries will work on reinforcing their bilateral relations, Ghandour added.
He stressed that Cairo and Khartoum shall solve the dispute through negotiations or international arbitration.
Egypt rejects the second option and instead suggests that Halayeb Triangle turns into an integrated Egyptian Sudanese area, the minister noted.
