Cairo-Mubasher: The Egyptian Styrene & Polystyrene Production Co. (E-Styrenics) and the UK-based New Perspective have signed an agreement on Friday for the supply of styrene material for industrial purposes.
Under the renewable agreement, the UK will supply Egypt with 100,000 tonnes of styrene material annually to produce polystyrene.
The move is aimed at meeting the needs of the domestic market and exporting the surplus, especially as the polystyrene is the main raw material in many small and medium industries.
