Egypt, US to develop $90m education centres

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has signed an agreement with the US to establish three centres of excellence to serve ten universities in Egypt.

This deal valued at $90 million, according to an official statement by the Egyptian investment and international cooperation ministry.

These centres of excellence will ink Egypt’s universities and the leading academic universities in the US to be a platform for both Egyptian and American experts to exchange their experience in research and innovation; this aims at boosting the economy of Egypt in the future, the official statement said.

This educational partnership includes academic entities, such as the universities of Ain Shams, Mansoura, and Aswan in Egypt; and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US.
