Egypt Cabinet to discuss investment regulations, law Wednesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Cabinet will discuss the executive regulations of the new investment law and the draft of the financial leasing and factoring law on Wednesday.

The Egyptian minister of investment and international cooperation, Sahar Nasr, had said earlier that the financial leasing and factoring draft law would be referred to the Cabinet to be discussed and approved.

The economic consortium approved the executive draft of the new investment law before referring it to the Cabinet for approval, the minister stated, adding that it will be sent to the State Council.

The Egyptian Parliament approved the new investment law bill in May. Prime Minister Sherif Ismail announced in July that the executive draft would be issued in August.

Egypt had amended the old Investment Law, issued in March 2015, before holding the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC).
