Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and China rose by 24% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2018 to reach $7.5 billion.
Chinese exports to the most populous Arab nation amounted to $6.5 billion in the seven-month period, rising 22.6% year-on-year, according to state-run news agency MENA.
Meanwhile, the Asian country’s imports to Egypt jumped by 34.1% at the end of July, as compared to the same period last year.
It is worth noting that Egypt-China bilateral trade stood at $1.298 billion in July, as Chinese exports to Egypt reached $1.07 billion, while the imports totalled $223 million.
