Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Gas announced turning to a profit during the first half of 2019.
The Egyptian firm logged a profit of EGP 14.43 million in the six-month period ended 30 June, versus a loss of EGP 7.55 million in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday.
Year-on-year, revenues rose to EGP 1.35 billion in the January-June period of 2019, compared to EGP 998.84 million.
During the first quarter of 2019, the company’s net profits stood at EGP 8.92 million, against a loss of EGP 13.54 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Meanwhile, revenues grew to EGP 606.94 million in Q1-19, compared to EGP 397.33 million in Q1-18.
