Cairo – Mubasher: Bilateral trade between Egypt and Germany registered $2.1 billion during the first half (H1) of 2020, the Egyptian minister of trade and industry Nevine Gamea revealed.
The North African nation’s exports to Germany amounted to $290 million, while its imports from the European country amounted to $1.8 billion, Gamea added in a statement on Tuesday.
This came during the minister’s meeting via video conference with the German ambassador to Egypt Cyrill Nunn.
Egypt’s top exports to the German market include building materials, agricultural crops, ready-made garments, chemical products, fertilizers, and food industries, while the top imports include engineering products, electronics, and medical industries.
