Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt plans to launch a new shipping line from Ain Sokhna port to Kenya’s Mombasa port at the beginning of October.

The shipping line will support Egyptian exports to African countries, Egypt’s minister of public enterprise sector Hisham Tawfik said.

By the beginning of April 2020, the shipping line will be fully operational, Tawfik added, revealing that a new import-export company will be established to market Egyptian products in Africa, the world's second largest and second most-populous continent.

For his part, the Egyptian minister of trade and industry Amr Nassar revealed that the country’s exports to Africa make up about 1% of the total exports to the continent.
