Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Tuesday negotiations are underway over a deposit pledged by Saudi Arabia for the central bank.
Another round of talks will be held on 5 January in this regard, he added.
The PM also noted that periodic mutual meetings are held each 15 to 20 days to discuss outstanding projects jointly carried out by the two countries.
Saudi King Salman earlier ordered an increase in Saudi investments to Egypt to SAR 30 billion ($8 billion).
Saudi Arabia and other GCC states had injected around $6 billion into Egypt’s central bank last March as part of an aid and investment package worth $12.5 billion.
