Cairo – Mubasher: Revenues of the Suez Canal rose by 4.9% month-on-month, or $23.8 million, in May 2018.
Revenues grew for the third consecutive month to $503.1 million, compared to $479.3 million in April, according to official data.
Suez Canal's revenues increased by 5.4% during the full-year 2017, recording $5.3 billion.
Head of Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish previously said that revenues of the Suez Canal went up by 12.9% year-on-year to $1.351 billion in the first quarter of 2018, versus $1.196 billion in Q1-17.
