Cairo – Mubasher: Yields on Egypt’s treasury bills steadied on Wednesday, according to data by the Ministry of Finance.
The average yield on six-month bills stood at 15.755% against 15.750% a week earlier.
Yields on the 357-day bill reached 16.439%, compared with 16.424% last week.
The Central Bank of Egypt issued EGP 11.5 billion treasury bills in coordination with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) through two tranches: 182-day bills at EGP 5.5 billion and 357-day bills at EGP 6 billion, according to the bank’s online data.
The MoF has brought forward Thursday’s regular auction due to the anniversary of the Sixth of October victory.
