Egypt-UAE agree on cooperation in 13 sectors

Cairo – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi and Cairo have agreed to strengthen their bilateral investment, industrial, and commercial relations, Emirati economy minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri and his Egyptian counterpart Tarek Kabil affirmed during the UAE-Egypt Economic Committee meeting in Cairo.

Both Arab nations explored opportunities for investment in 13 sectors, among them trade, customs, industry, technology, tourism, finance, and electricity, according to an official statement.

Bilateral “trade between the two countries reached $4.8 billion at the end of 2016, making the UAE among the top 10 of Egypt’s global trade partners,” Al Mansouri revealed, as Arabian Business reported.

During the first nine months of 2017, Egypt-UAE's non-oil trade registered $3.6 billion.
