Egypt aims to cut unemployment rate to 6.3% in 2020 – Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Manpower aims to slash unemployment rate to 6.3% in 2020 from 7.8%, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Monday.

A programme is being implemented to lower unemployment rate through organising job forums and creating jobs for people with disabilities, the manpower minister, Mohamed Saafan, said. 

The manpower ministry has also launched a campaign to support temporary workers through the issuance of Aman Certificates for which the ministry has allocated a total amount of EGP 100 million.
