Cairo – Decypha: Egypt has raised allocations the Takaful and Karama Programme by 50% in the budget draft for the fiscal year 2017-2018, said Mohamed Meit, deputy finance minister for the public treasury.
The move comes as part of a plan to expand the financial subsidy, Meit added.
The allocation amount to EGP 15 billion in the budget draft for FY17/18, compared to EGP 10 billion in FY16/17.
Budget allocations for health insurance will be increased from EGP 6 billion to EGP 9-10 billion.
