Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Housing, Assem El-Gazzar announced the allocation of EGP 207.5 million for the development of water and wastewater services in the neediest villages in Assiut and New Valley under the second phase of ‘Haya Karima’ (A Decent Life) initiative.
The initiative is aimed at improving the economic, social, and environmental aspects of the lives of the neediest people in the country, El-Gazzar added in a statement on Sunday.
The first phase of the initiative included the provision of clean water and sanitation services to 60 villages in Assiut at a total cost of EGP 209 million, Chairman of Assiut Company for Water and Wastewater, Mohamed Salah El-Din, said.
