Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has awarded the build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract for a car handling terminal for Ro-RO vehicles at the East Port Said Port to an international alliance, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.
The alliance, comprised of French Bolloré Transport & Logistics, Japanese Toyota Tsusho, and NYK, will invest $150 million in equipment and infrastructure for handling 800,000 cars at the terminal.
This will create about 400 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs.
