Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Egypt has become a major destination for UAE and Arab investors due to its diversified market, infrastructure and government's efforts to remove obstacles to inbound Arab investments especially from the UAE, said Jamal Al Jarwan, Secretary General of the UAE Companies Investing Abroad Council.
During a meeting with Egyptian Minister of Investment, Ashraf Salman, in Abu Dhabi, Al Jarwan noted that the Egyptian government is developing new regulations to attract more Arab investors.
He also noted that the Council of UAE Companies Investing Abroad was created to support and protect the interests of UAE investors, forge relations with relevant government and non-government entities in the UAE and abroad.
For his part, Salman stated that ties with the UAE are strategic and strong. He praised the UAE for supporting Egypt to overcome the recent crises.
Egypt is working to introduce reforms to investment regulations and remove obstacles to UAE investments as it prioritises the creation of favourable climate for foreign investments, including from Arab countries.
