Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's stock market witnessed the entry of nearly 18,000 new investors during 2015, showed an annual report.
Institutions spearheaded new investors last year with 43%, and recorded a growth by 1,7000 institutions.
In 2015, retail investors dominated 61% of the full-year traded value, while institutions controlled the remaining 39%.
Foreign investors accounted for 28% of the market's total trading in 2015, while non-Arab foreign investors controlled 20% of total trading activity and Arabs controlled 8%.
Non-Arab foreign traders bought shares worth EGP 104 million, while Arab traders purchased shares worth EGP 212 million.
