Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed on negative note for the fourth session in row.
The benchmark index EGX30 declined 0.65% or 53 points to close at 8,160.4 points, recording its lowest level in October.
The market capitalization shed EGP 4.8 billion reaching EGP 404.1 billion.
The small and medium caps index EGX70 slide 0.27% to 333.5 points, while the broader index EGX100 slipped 0.37% to 783.7 points.
Similarly, the equal weighted index EGX50 went down 1.08% to close at 1,248.57 points.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 63.9 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 15.5 million and EGP 48.4 million respectively.
Retail investors were net sellers with EGP 21.4 million, while institutions were net buyers.
The market witnessed 193.3 million shares changed hands worth EGP 623.2 million.
Out of 168 stocks traded today, decliners outnumbered advancers by 95 to 30, while 43 stocks remained unchanged.
